Homes for sale in the valleys of Thornhill

Hi Bram,

We currently live in the valleys of Thornhill and are looking to stay in the same area but buy a bigger house. Given how quiet the market is and how little inventory there is available we know we won't have a problem selling but finding a house will be tough. When do you anticipate more homes in the area hitting the market? Do you have any new listings coming up that you can show us?

thanks.

This is a great question as it's very pertinent given the prevailing market conditions not only in the Valley's of Thornhill but in the GTA as a whole.

Typically we see listings begin to start coming to market late January/ February with an uptick that continues into April. May and June are traditionally the busiest months. Some theories as to why are closing dates (typically in and around 90 days) that are school year friendly, and weather that is conducive to being outside looking.

Another factor to consider is how the nice weather will make homes more appealing; green fresh cut lawns, sun filled rooms and inviting patios make for a different showing experience.

If you're considering a move my suggestion is to start looking once the decision is made. This will allow you to become as educated as possible about the market and buy with confidence when you find a home that suits you.

I myself often door knock areas where my buyers would like to live in an effort to find a home not yet listed for sale.

Please feel free to contact me directly should I be able to assist you further in the Valley's of Thornhill or elsewhere.
